Serato Video SL

The Video-SL software plug-in adds the ability to playback, mix and manipulate video files through Serato using the Rane TTM57-SL mixer.
Manage video clips as you would with audio files through the Serato library browser and load them onto virtual decks to control with your Serato vinyl or CDs to add a whole new dimension to your performance. With the controls on the TTM57-SL, you can mix clips with a variety of transitions, add effects to video clips and more. The mixed output can be sent to your computer's secondary display for connection to external monitors and/or projectors. The Video-SL package comes with everything you need to get started mixing video including the installation CD, bonus videos and loops, quick start guide and manual, and handy mixer overlays that label the knobs, switches and faders on the TTM57-SL with their video functions. Works on both PC and Mac. Requires the TTM-57SL mixer for use. -TTL

Funk My Soul: A collection of Funk and Soul Gems

At lunch today, our friend Nastee put us on this site-Thanks! Its just one more unbelievable site to download (hi quality) rare and classic grooves. DJ and Producers alike will dig this jumpy!

From site: "Most of you may remember me from my participation to Lost-In-Tyme blog.
My only target is to pass this great music to the new generation and the old ones to remember the music they grew up with.
There's a huge vinyl collection to be post here.
Enjoy it and bless you all, brothers." -Funk My Soul

WESC Oboe Street Headphones

"Capri Blue version. WESC's new "Instrument Collection" brings back last season's "Street" model, as the Oboe. I know the Oboe isn't really famous for rocking, but these are kinda the jump. This new model features a lightweight future-retro design (similar to Grado) with impeccable attention to detail like woven cords, super soft ear pads (that aren't too bulky) and a short cord with included extension. Technically, this pair sports 30mm PRO drivers, 120 dB sensitivity, an impedance of 32 Ohms, and a frequency range of 20 - 20 001 Hz so you won't miss any of the fine details in your music. If bass is what you are after, I would have to say that you will experience a noticeable difference with this model - it actually makes the bass sound huge! In addition, rumor has it these are constructed of premium Sennheiser parts so you know dealing with quality (in case you had any doubts). -Turntablelab

midibox sid: for your inner geek!

What it is?! "The venerable Commodore 64 is well known among the electronic music community as a synthesizer modder’s dream machine thanks to its robust SID audio chipset. But most of the mods I’ve seen end up looking just like an old C64 and all the cool stuff is going on under the hood. So when I came across this mod, all those glowy knobs and buttons got me really excited"

BCA JazzLab 2008

The guys from The Lab are here! Not only are they the coolest, most down to earth guys, they schooled me on tons of history about hip-hop, turntabalism and most importantly, how to make beats and scratch a record. School is in session today and tomorrow at the Firehouse. If you miss them there, check them out on the web, and sign up for a class. I've always had a ton of questions about the DJ process, and they answered a ton and more. I'll be signing up for a session with them this year for sure.
